Limber Pine of the Crownest Pass 16x24

 

The famous Limber Pines of the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta Canada. These are the second oldest living trees in Alberta, some dating back to 1,450 years old!! These ancient trees endure the windiest place in Canada, 150 mph at times. The black and white photograph is printed on a high gloss aluminum sheet (16×24). The bark is hand painted with Clear Acrylic gels and Iron Oxide with interference green highlights on the spring needles. When you run your fingers along the bark of the tree it actually feels like you are actually touching real bark!
